Console Server from Logical Solutions answers this challenge
with solid reliability features such as dual hot-swappable
power supplies and redundant access through dual console and
network ports. The SCS160R can provide access and management
of any combination of serial devices; servers, routers, workstations,
LAN/WAN devices, and more.
SECURELY MANAGE YOUR NETWORK

The SCS160R is a high performance console port management
solution incorporating OpenSSH for secure authentication and
encryption, and support for DHCP networks. The administrator
assigns each users access rights. Users can then connect
to only the devices they are authorized to access. 2 minute

LOCAL, NETWORK, AND REMOTE ACCESS FLEXIBILITY
When access to network devices is key the SCS160R provides
management of serial console ports directly through the network
or from a local terminal. Remote access is achieved via SSH,
PPP or through an external modem. The access flexibility of
the SCS160R make it perfectly suited to man-agement of remote
server installations.
SERVER MONITORING SPEEDS DIAGNOSTICS
The SCS160R provides a 256K true FIFO buffer for each device
port providing a 400+ screen audit trail to assist with diagnostics
should an attached device fail. By allowing access to original
panic messages, prob-lems can be quickly corrected and downtime
reduced. The SCS160R is fault tolerant and will not cause
attached devices to fail should the secure console server
lose power. The design of the SCS160R provides isolation between
the user terminal and the server or device, eliminating the
terminal as a point of failure.
