The IT Pros Blade Workstation Solution Delivers 99.9% uptime, 100% asset control, "server-level" manageability and at least 40% reduction in operating costs.

Lower TCO by:

  • Eliminate most end-user downtime by allowing for centralized IT maintenance and repairs; with the added use of cold sparing in the IT room, a trader can be back up and running in as little time as it takes to replace a jack and reboot a system.
  • Because end-users still maintain full use of their PCs, they also retain full multi-media capability, and support for peripherals beyond a monitor mouse and keyboard - legacy serial devices such as PDAs and Blackberrys, removable media devices, digital cameras, and other peripherals, including multiple monitors and essentially all PCI-based digital video configurations.
  • 100% flawless digital video over one or multiple monitors.
  • With the physical PC chassis removed, the noise and heat generated by that system is removed. The smaller footprint desktop appliance can easily be mounted underneath the desk with optional brackets, freeing both desktop real estate and leg room.
  • Connection speeds between the desktop appliance and the remote PC exceeds one Giabit per second, full duplex (essentially over two Gigabits per second aggregate throughput) using either CAT 5 or dual strand fiber optic cabling.

The IT Pros Digital Remote Workstation solution consists of the Avocent Cstation and C-Link card that plugs into a PCI slot within a PC blade and extends the internal PCI bus to a desktop Cstation appliance located at the end-user’s workstation. The PC Workstation resides in the data center, where it's more secure and can be easily maintained. This allow you to provide incredible processing power with true digital resolution quality to your employees without the worry of user-initiated desktop configuration changes, asset theft, or security violations. Plus your valuable data and network assets are secure and centralized on blade PCs in your data center for easy management. Our Solution separates the desktop display components from the processing and storage components. The desktop user’s monitor, keyboard, and mouse connect to a small junction box with local USB and PCI adapter support. The “PC” is actually a standard blade PC (wintel, sun) that is located in the secure and climate conditioned environment of your datacenter up to 600 feet away using CAT6 cable or as much as 2400 feet away using fiber.
